Become an Assistant Headteacher at our brand-new school Red Kite School part of Acorn Education and start working towards yours.


* Red Kite School, Buckinghamshire, HP27 0JW
* £45,000 per annum (not pro rata)
* 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
* Permanent, Term Time only
Red Kite is a brand-new independent special educational needs school which will cater for up to 60 pupils with social and emotional health needs.

The school is based in the beautiful market town Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire. This is an exciting opportunity for anybody who wants to be a part of the successful development of a new setting and make a difference to the education of our pupils.

The opportunity
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate an outstanding record as a leader and will be able to realize the ambitious vision of securing excellence in every aspect of school life.

The successful candidate will have experience working with young people with complex learning needs. You will demonstrate an understanding of how these needs impact learning and behavior in the classroom. Further details to be discussed at interview stage.

* Take lead for Inclusion and SENCO
* Implement provisions to improve pupil progress
* Ensure statutory responsibilities regarding all students with an EHCP are met
* Coordinate EHCP review meetings and ensure paperwork is completed
* Chair EHCP Review Meetings
* Support staff in understanding SEN pupils' needs
* Promote an inclusive curriculum accessible to all pupils
* Support DHT in monitoring pupil progress
* Oversee Curriculum systems, processes, and policies
* Monitor progress towards the school’s aims and objectives
* Collaborate with SLT, subject leads, and teachers to ensure high expectations and quality learning for all pupils
Qualifications Required
* UK QTS or equivalent
* NASENCO qualification (Preferred)
