Raytheon Intelligence Solutions are currently seeking an experienced, highly motivated Project Manager (PM) to join our team at our Malvern site.
This is an onsite role with an office located at the foot of the beautiful Malvern Hills in Worcestershire. Role Overview:
Raytheon Technologies is seeking a pro-active and committed Project Manager. The Project Manager will to be responsible for the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects and programmes, applying project management skills to ensure delivery to time, cost and quality. The role will also be responsible for leading the development and submittal of proposals/bids (sole-source and competitive).
The role will involve overseas travel in particular to the Middle East, Far East and the US (approx. 20%).
What you will do:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Manage all aspects of project execution, including start-up, risk and opportunity management, and Estimate at Completion (EAC) requirements
2. Manage complex project involving teams of stakeholders where the PM does not have direct line management responsibility
3. Track project costs to meet budgets
4. Meeting contractual obligations
5. Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
6. Provide project updates on a consistent basis to external and internal stakeholders
7. Obtain customer acceptance of project deliverables and manage and achieve excellent customer satisfaction
8. Effective time and resource management of several projects simultaneously
9. Prepare and present progress updates to appropriate management channels on a regular basis
10. Proposal management with responsible for coordinating and submitting bids/proposals to existing or prospective customers
11. Identify and adapt best practices, ensuring previous lessons learnt are adopted and new lessons are identified to benefit future projects.
Skills / Qualifications we prefer:
12. Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, risk, budget, and timeline
13. Previous relevant project management experience
14. Self-motivated individual required with excellent communication skills
15. Excellent project financial management and analytical skills
16. Be able to work within a team of experienced Project Managers
17. Experience working as part of a cross functional team
18. Proven experience of managing customer engagement
19. Degree qualified or equivalent
20. Association of Project Management (APM) qualification or equivalent is preferable, although training will be provided to the successful candidate.
21. Experience seeing projects through the full IT project life cycle
22. Strong familiarity with project management software tools, tools and methodologies
23. Understanding of Internal and External Quality Audit requirements for both project and product lifecycles i.e. AS9100.
