Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Supervisor/ Duty Manager to oversee daily operations at our bustling bar. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food and beverage service, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in hospitality management, food service, or restaurant supervision is essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate all bar operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to company standards
* Oversee staff training, development, and scheduling to maintain optimal team performance
* Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels to minimize waste
* Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment
* Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
* Assist in food preparation and beverage service as needed, including cocktail mixing and barista duties
* Monitor customer service quality, addressing any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
* Conduct staff interviews, participate in hiring decisions, and support ongoing training & development initiatives
* Oversee shift management, ensuring smooth transitions between shifts and optimal staffing levels
* Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the establishment's hospitality standards
Skills
* Proven experience in restaurant management or food service supervision, preferably within casual dining or fine dining settings
* Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required
* Excellent leadership skills with experience in staff training, team management, and supervising food & beverage operations
* Familiarity with inventory control, food safety regulations, and kitchen management practices
* Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment with quick service & fast food restaurant experience preferred
* Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
* Experience with food preparation, culinary techniques, or kitchen management is advantageous
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle shift management and operational oversight confidently
* Leadership qualities that foster teamwork, training & development, and positive work culture
* Previous experience in hotel or banquet settings, catering services, or coffee/barista roles is a plus
