As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will carry out detailed engineering design activities, working closely with cross‑functional teams on a range of projects, ensuring the work complies with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
Scope of work
* Produce technical drawings to BS 8888 standards.
* Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) appropriately.
* Translate an existing concept‑level design into manufacture‑ready drawings.
* Create detailed part and assembly drawings, including BOMs where required.
* Prepare and release drawings into SolidWorks PDM.
* Ensure drawings are clear, consistent, and suitable for suppliers/manufacturing.
Qualifications
* Degree qualified Engineer in a Mechanical Engineering subject.
Essential skills
* Strong experience with SolidWorks.
* Good working knowledge of BS 8888 and modern drawing practices.
* Solid understanding of GD&T.
* Experience preparing designs for manufacture.
* Familiarity with SolidWorks PDM.
* High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
