School Cleaner – Part Time Location: Darwen, Lancashire Salary: £13.22 to £13.75 p/hr depending on skills and experience Hours : 10 hours per week term time only working Monday to Friday either afternoons 2pm-4pm or mornings 7.30am – 9.30am. The Aurora Woodlands School is a 'Good' rated innovative provider of education and care, supporting students aged 10 - 19 with complex needs typically related to Asperger’s Syndrome, Autism and other conditions. We’re currently looking for a P art Time Cleaner working Monday - Friday, term time only. The Role: Proving a cleaning service for the school across all types of rooms, including offices, classrooms, laboratories, halls, corridors, and toilets. Key Duties: Duties to include the following: Vacuum cleaning floors. Spot cleaning of spillages. Wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass. Emptying and cleaning bins (daily). Cleaning toilets including sanitary fittings and surrounds. Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces. Wiping, dusting, cobweb removal, polishing. Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets, etc (daily). Undertake deep clean as and when required. Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work and ensure the building is secure on exit. Such other duties as may be allocated from time to time. Duties will vary, you must expect to diversify and lend a hand wherever is required.
