We are seeking a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Ashford. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance tasks across various departments.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Conduct routine maintenance and testing on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation.
* Respond to equipment faults and breakdowns, diagnosing issues quickly and efficiently.
* Carry out repairs and ensure all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety.
* Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance machinery performance and reliability.
* Work closely with other team members to troubleshoot complex problems.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, spare parts inventory, and machinery performance.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
* Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with qualifications in Engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations.
* Experience working in a FMCG environment
