The Role:
We are seeking two full-time and one part-time (16 hours over two full days) experienced, enthusiastic Enforcement Officers to join our busy Environmental, Education, and Enforcement Department in Bolton.
These positions are on fixed-term contracts until 31/03/27.
You will investigate environmental crimes such as fly-tipping, littering, and dog fouling, dealing robustly with offenders through fixed penalty notices and/or court proceedings.
You should demonstrate a thorough knowledge of environmental legislation and have the ability to prepare and submit cases for court.
About You:
You should possess excellent communication skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. A strong enforcement background and a desire to improve Bolton's environmental quality are essential.
You must handle a demanding workload and be flexible to work out of hours if necessary. Good knowledge of environmental legislation and investigative skills are required to handle complaints and take legal action when appropriate.
