Position Overview
The Glasgow School for Business and Society (GSBS) and its Department of Finance, Accounting, and Risk (FAR) seek to appoint a Lecturer in Accounting with specialization in Finance, Business Analytics, and AI. The role involves delivering high-quality education, conducting research, and developing curricula that connect traditional accounting and finance with emerging technological capabilities. It aims to enhance FAR’s research and teaching in applied business analytics and AI. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to using data analysis to support decision-making in accounting, finance, and business.
Qualifications and Experience
* PhD or PhD near completion or equivalent higher qualification.
* Relevant qualifications in the subject area.
* Experience in teaching at the academic or professional level.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
* Potential for developing an emergent research profile aligned with the department’s strategic goals.
* Relevant industry experience is advantageous.
* A higher education teaching qualification and/or Fellow status with AdvanceHE is desirable.
