Job Title: Assistant Operations Manager
Contract type: Full Time (40 hours/week)
Contract Length: 6 MONTHS
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 pro rata
Holidays: 28 days per year (restricted period)
Working Location: Sussex based. We have a flexible working model; however, you will be required to work from the Brighton/Moulescoomb office as required.

The Role:
An opportunity has arisen to join a fast-paced UK wide events crewing company based out of Brighton. Site and Stage (SAS) provides specialist event crew and site management services to an extensive list of UK outdoor and indoor events. This is a great opportunity to be part of our highly experienced team, developing and delivering top quality site management and crew across a vast variety of sectors, from music and live entertainment to sporting and public events.
SAS is a family run business, with offices in Brighton and Portugal. We have a diverse workforce of fulltime, contracted, and freelance personnel. You will be reporting directly to the Operations Manager to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day activities of the company and will work closely with management team to ensure all operational, administrative, and compliance functions within the company are being executed properly.
As Assistant Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating communications between the company’s clients, the crew and site management teams, as well as supporting/sourcing the procurement of equipment, hotels, and other suppliers. Other responsibilities include tasks such as quotations, scheduling, accreditation systems, catering requirements, accommodation, welfare management, support staffing, monitoring customer satisfaction. developing and implementing operational procedures, policies and more.
This role is seen as an office-based role and as such, opportunities to attend some of the events we work on, will be limited. You will also need to be able to think on your feet, bringing strong, considered solutions when unforeseen matters occur. Weekend working maybe required.

- Have proven experience working within the festival and outdoor events industry.
- Have up to date knowledge on key industry trends and insights within the UK.
- Be keen to learn new software and apps as they become available.
- Have experience using Asana, and/or similar project management software.
- Have a clean driving license and access to a vehicle.
