ADHD Teaching Assistant – Southport Primary School

Are you a patient, enthusiastic and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs?
Teaching Personnel is seeking a Specialist Teaching Assistant to support a child with ADHD at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Southport, rated Good by Ofsted. This is a full-time position to cover a maternity leave, beginning in October 2025.
* One-to-one support for a KS1/KS2 pupil with ADHD
* Collaborating with class teachers, SENCO and outside professionals
* Helping the pupil stay focused, regulate emotions and access learning
* Creating a calm, structured and positive learning environment
* Supporting social integration and emotional well-being
* Experience supporting children with ADHD or SEMH needs
* Calm, consistent and nurturing approach
* Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
* Able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
* Relevant TA qualifications or training (preferred but not essential)
* Join a supportive and forward-thinking school community
* Be part of a dedicated SEN support team
* Gain experience through Teaching Personnel with ongoing CPD and training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
