We're seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to support the Sales & Marketing Vice President in driving regional revenue growth in the UK and Europe. This hands-on role will be based in our Stretchline facility in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire, and will play a key part in executing sales strategies and ensuring alignment with global brand initiatives.
The successful candidate will manage day-to-day customer relationships, collaborate closely with local and global teams, and focus on customer satisfaction and commercial performance to achieve sales targets and contribute to broader strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Identity & Relationship Management
* Partner with the Sales & Marketing VP/GM to drive regional sales and marketing efforts for global brands, supporting growth through engagement with potential customers and strategic partners.
* Develop and maintain a strong Stretchline brand identity and nurture long-term partnerships with key customers and vendors.
* Build and sustain relationships with local marketing offices, delivering tailored solutions to enhance customer retention and loyalty.
Market Research & Business Development
* Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activity, providing insights for strategic planning.
* Understand customer buying cycles and seasonal requirements to ensure relevant product presentations.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand regional presence.
* Inform leadership on market dynamics and customer insights for data-driven decisions.
* Support participation in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to increase brand visibility.
Documentation & Presentation Support
* Prepare promotional and non-promotional materials aligned with marketing and sales strategies.
* Create impactful presentations and conduct data analyses for strategic discussions.
* Ensure timely delivery of documentation to stakeholders.
* Collaborate on pricing strategies to support profitability and market share growth.
* Work with development teams to secure technical support and initiate costing processes.
General Support
* Perform additional duties as assigned to support organisational needs.
Qualifications and Experience
Educational Background
* A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field preferred.
Professional Experience
* Minimum 5 years' experience in sales management, preferably in a similar industry.
* Experience working with international sales teams across regions.
* Skills in market analysis, financial evaluation, pricing, and customer engagement.
* Ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
* Customer-focused with excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
