Function: Whole Vehicle – Fleet
Contract: Full time - Permanent
Location: Pyms Lane, Crewe, CW1 3PL with flexible hybrid working

Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Functional Manager Fleet, this role is responsible for leading the project vehicle plans from project start, optimisation of vehicle requests from functions, specification of vehicles, delivery to functions and disposal. This involves:
* Full process ownership of R&D Vehicle usage planning
* Accountable for the development and delivery of the vehicle disguise
* Cross functional collaboration to identify opportunities to move validation testing onto other validation methods
* Management and optimisation of the Validation test activities to optimise vehicles usage and availability
* Working with the R&D Platform Leader, Platform Integration Manager and R&D Directors to ensure Vehicle usage plan approval is at the required PEP gateways to minimum cost and time requirements
* Ensuring Bentleys vehicle requirement is communicated to Platform providers
* Managing project budgets definition and allocation, incl. change content
* Ensuring vehicles are commissioned on time to correct condition
* Monitoring and escalation of project risks and opportunities
* Lead and deliver improvement projects - leading to optimised Fleet processes supporting Whole Vehicle and process partners
* Support workshop build optimisation
About the Team
The team is part of the Whole Vehicle Engineering function which exists to define, develop and validate extraordinary products that meet customer expectations over lifetime, detecting and resolving relevant issues at the earliest phase in the product development process.
The Vehicle Integration department is responsible for:
* Whole Vehicle Release management, steering and reporting
* Whole Vehicle Integration Management (Product maturity planning)
* BoM, CAD and Config Management
* Fleet and Vehicle Test Management
* Platform and Hat project integration (face to project)
About you – Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have experience gained from an engineering, quality or project management orientated role with experience of delivering key project gateways. You will have established communication skills that can be used cross functionally to collaborate and influence a range of stake holders to build relationships across the business.
* Technical understanding of Pre-series Systems content and test / validation
* Examples of working at pace in a project management environment
* Ability to deliver multiple projects concurrently and to delegate tasks to wider team
* Proven experience of delivering improvement projects
* An engineering degree or equivalent technical experience
