THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group is seeking to recruit an experienced Die Maintenance Technician to work for our client based in Washington, Tyne & Wear.
This is an exciting opportunity which we are proud to bring to market. Our client is a well-known major player within the automotive industry. They are a global business located in various countries with approximately 10,000 employees.
THE ROLE
14. Effective diagnosis and timely repair of equipment to maximise machine availability
15. Leading the repair and maintenance of all assembly and press tooling equipment in a timely manner
16. Leads in geometry improvement activities from technical understanding.
17. Perform scheduled and planned maintenance to reduce breakdowns and improve equipment performance and reliability.
18. Adhering to quality standards and requirements, including all QMS related items.
19. Adhering to all legal and safety requirements including PUWER Power press regulations, lifting and slinging
20. Supporting and championing the intervention process and escalation procedure.
21. Supporting the procurement and management of spare parts and tools required.
22. Reporting of RPO and MTTR data (documentation of jobs/hours completed through electronic reporting methods)
23. Supporting the development of Engineering apprentices through knowledge and skill sharing.
24. Leading planned maintenance activities, including technical improvement activities.
THE PERSON
25. Recognised apprenticeship in Die Maintenance or Tool Making
26. ONC or equivalent level qualification
27. Industrial manufacturing or automotive relevant engineering experience
28. Proactive and autonomous in workload management
29. Able to communicate at all levels of the business.
30. Able to follow instructions, maintaining composure in pressurised situations
31. Able to prioritise fluctuations in workload, asking for support when needed
32. Analytical, methodical and structured approach to fault finding
33. Champions continuous improvement by seeking alternate or different ways of completing task
34. Cross-functionally/collaboratively driven to support achievement of shared goals and objectives.
