Role: Director, Financial Performance Lead
Corporate Risk Solutions (CRS), within M&G Life, designs and delivers bulk purchase annuities and de-risking products for Defined Benefit pension schemes. Due to ongoing success and growth plans, we are expanding our team.
The CRS Pricing team manages key areas: new business pricing, assumptions and methodology, the pricing model infrastructure, and financial performance strategy. We seek an outstanding individual to own our financial performance framework as CRS grows.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and manage the financial performance framework for BPA business and related products.
2. Set and oversee pricing and reinsurance strategies aligned with the financial framework, collaborating with stakeholders across M&G Life and Finance.
3. Support senior leadership with ad hoc analysis, queries, and strategic development.
4. Partner with Finance and FP&A teams during planning cycles and broader activities.
5. Collaborate across departments and with external partners to integrate commercial, investment, longevity, reinsurance, and balance sheet development into the financial framework.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Commercially minded Actuary with strong technical expertise.
* Deep understanding of IFRS17 and UK Solvency for life insurance, especially balance sheet management, liability discounting, and asset strategies.
* Experience in pricing or financial management of BPAs.
* Knowledge of non-standard capital and reinsurance structures is advantageous.
* Self-motivated, ambitious, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
