What you’ll do: Manage and lead complex control system projects from conception through commissioning Design and develop control systems, including PLC and SCADA configurations, to upgrade and modernize existing technology Collaborate closely with project teams and clients, ensuring milestones are met and systems operate efficiently and securely Troubleshoot, test, and fine-tune control software both in the office and on-site during commissioning and SAT phases Drive safety and best practices in electrical work, ensuring compliance across all projects Required Skills: Proven experience in PLC & HMI software development, with proficiency in at least two platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Schneider) Strong understanding of communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, PROFIBUS DP/PA, and Modbus TCP/IP Hands-on experience with SCADA systems and Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) Sound knowledge of electrical safety standards and practices Ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Nice to Have Skills: Experience with site-wide control system integrations Familiarity with programming languages or additional automation platforms Previous exposure to renewable or utility infrastructure projects Preferred Education and Experience: A minimum of a relevant engineering qualification (e.g., HND, Degree in Electrical/Control Engineering) Several years’ experience in control system design, configuration, and commissioning Demonstrable track record delivering control solutions within industrial environments Other Requirements: Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK Commitment to health and safety standards and continuous professional development Ready to make a real impact and be part of a forward-thinking company that values its people and their growth?
