Basic salary: Consultant scale – £87,534 – £116,313 per annum (Full time 10PAs)
Role basis: This role is part‑time but may consider full time; successful candidates will be contracted for 40 hours per week. Direct clinical care and SPA time are included.
Working pattern: Day, evening and weekend shifts; no on‑call commitment currently but the aim is to include on‑call as the team grows.
Patient and hospital profile: The BGH sees over 32,000 patients a year, has 330 inpatient beds and offers services across general medicine, cardiology, respiratory, neurology, gastroenterology, obstetrics & gynaecology, orthopaedics, paediatrics, general surgery, urology, ENT, ophthalmology and dermatology. It is a trauma unit feeding into the Major Trauma Centre located in ERI.
