We're proud to be a certified B Corp – one of only seven hotels/hotel groups in the UK to earn this prestigious accreditation. This means we're part of a global community of businesses committed to using profits and purpose to make a positive impact on people and the planet. If you want to be part of a team that values sustainability, inclusivity and meaningful work, we'd love to hear from you.
We're delighted to be offering a fantastic opportunity for a part-time Receptionist to join our team. We're looking for someone with a warm and welcoming manner who can deliver a truly memorable front-of-house experience for every guest.
As the friendly face of our hotel, you'll ensure arrivals and departures run smoothly, process payments efficiently, and liaise across departments to make sure every guest's needs are not only met, but exceeded.
Key responsibilities include:
* Being the first point of contact at Reception, creating a professional yet personable welcome.
* Operating the switchboard and taking accurate messages for guests and colleagues.
* Arranging wake-up calls when required.
* Processing charges to guest and conference accounts using our hotel system.
* Managing a cash float with accuracy and care at the start and end of each shift.
* Proactively upselling bedrooms, dining options and additional services.
* Assisting with room allocations and accommodating special requests.
* Providing accurate information on availability and rates, with a keen eye for opportunities to upsell or upgrade.
* Responding to guest feedback promptly and professionally.
What we're looking for:
Ideally, you'll bring previous experience in a reception role, preferably within hospitality – and better still, in a hotel environment. You will have the ability to remain calm and focused when things get busy, and above all, you'll have a genuine passion for service; putting the guests at the heart of everything you do.
