The project:
The projects incorporate the latest modern methods of construction and standardised processes. The successful candidate will be supporting the lead Project Manager throughout the delivery of a project which is already progressing on site. This role sits in our consultancy business, specifically the justice sector.
This position will suit a candidate looking to further their career that is fast paced and industry leading. This is a client-facing role based partly on site where you will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager in managing wider consultant teams and project stakeholders and working with the project team to deliver the project successfully. This project is linked to a wider programme of projects delivering new prisoner places and therefore the successful candidate will be part of a much larger team of individuals working to deliver other works on site.
The existing team has a proven track record of successfully delivering a wide variety of projects of the highest quality across the MoJ prison portfolio.
This role will provide experience in project delivery throughout the construction and handover stage to meet defined time, cost, technical performance and quality requirements. You will be highly motivated, understand developing a project plan and support with leading an existing professional team to drive forward the clients’ strategy.
As you will support in all aspects of delivery by building strong working relationships with clients and colleagues and supply chain members. You will be expected to lead packages of work, as identified by the lead project manager and report regularly to them on progress.
Please note: The role entails hybrid working with attendance on site expected - exact requirements can be flexible but envisage minimum of 2-3no. days a week. Remaining days working from home or a Mace regional office as required. EL1 vetting clearances will be required for this role.
Site location is near Rugby, local Mace office in Birmingham.

You’ll need to have:
8. Project management experience with relevant professional accreditation or progression.
9. Degree or equivalent practical training in construction or related fields.
10. Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder engagement capability.
11. Proficient in project planning, methodologies and industry certification requirements.
