An exciting opportunity for a Project Forwarder has arisen for our client a specialist international Logistics provider to the events and entertainment industry. As the Project Forwarder, your duties will involve providing a high level of customer service to multiple clients as well as dealing with all aspects of Freight Operations from start to finish. The main day to day responsibilities :
Securing bookings with carriers (airlines, hauliers etc)
Preparing shipment document such as AWBs, BOLs etc
Entering jobs into the Cargowise system in accordance with the guidelines
Handling all aspects of customs clearance. Including (but not limited to), arranging declarations in house or via a broker, carnet run, monitoring with carrier
Monitoring shipments (post flight, delivery status, driver info, arrivals, clearance etc) and update the client / account manager a required
Ensuring job costs are kept up to date, and loaded into Cargowise as soon as possible
Preparation of customs documents, ATA Carnets, COOs etc
Reporting regularly to Manager at key stages of the project
Assisting with organising and delivering logistical aspects of a tour / event
Ensure Warehouse and Project Manager are aware of any transport and warehousing requirements. e.g. freight builds for exports, goods inbound / outbound, import breakdown's, airline and client site collection / delivery etc
Liaising with overseas agents / other offices for movements into / out of their territories, for any assigned project
Ensuring successful completion of each tour / event / project assigned to you
Producing small transport / logistical budgets
Negotiating costs with service providers
Preparing and sending quotes to customers, when instructed
Providing full customer support for any job / project assigned to you

The successful candidate will have good experience with Freight and/or Logistics roles and have a strong interest in the music/sport and Film/TV industry. A very high level of communication skills are required along with the ability to pay attention to detail and able to prioritise workload. This is a very interesting and varied role.
