Main duties of the job
Newly qualified or experienced GPs welcome to join our team.
For newly qualified GPs - we will support you to settle in and gradually ease into the Practice ways of working. We shall appoint a buddy to support you as part of the induction process.
We would like the new colleague to have aspirations on becoming a GP Trainer at some stage.

Job responsibilities
* Provide Personal Medical Servicesto acceptable clinical standards to patients, both in surgery and on homevisits.
* Respond to medical problemspresented by patients on the medical list, including history taking,examination, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, referral whereappropriate and adequate documentation with READ coding onto the GPComputer system.
* Provide appropriate healthpromotion and preventative health care and advice to the Practice patientsattending the centre within the context of primary health care.
* Attend all team meetings andother meetings as may be necessary for PMS duties.
* Carry out clinically relatedadministrative and non-clinical duties needed for the delivery of personalmedical services.
* Provide free certification inline with Schedule 9 of NHS GMS Regulations (1992).
* Provide emergency cover forabsent colleagues from time to time as detailed.
* Maintain patient clinical recordsin line with the electronic patient record system.
