Senior Staff Nurse – Oncology

Up to £44,000.00 depending on experience
37.5 hours per week

Working flexible hours Monday to Friday, potential for adhoc weekend/nights depending on patient acuity, you’ll be motivated to provide the highest standard of care.
As a Senior Oncology Staff Nurse in our hospital, you’ll be attentive, driven, detail-oriented and empathetic. You’re registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC. With post-registration experience, you’re a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.
As a Senior Oncology Staff Nurse, you will:
1. Have experience in Oncology and have a UKONS SACT passport (or equivalent)
2. Be proficient in phlebotomy, cannulation and accessing Central Venous Access Devices
3. Be a valued addition to the team in our consultant and nurse-led service
4. Work with patients receiving chemotherapy or new treatments, such as immunotherapy
5. Fully assess each patient’s needs, providing tailored treatment plans and care
6. Administer systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT)
7. Assist consultants during clinics
8. Provide care for Acute Oncological emergencies
9. Collaborate with the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT Team)
