Finance and Procurement Manager Location: Houghton Le Spring Salary: up to £36,000 Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week We’re seeking an experienced Finance and Procurement Manager to play a key role in managing the financial health and procurement operations of a leading manufacturing business. This position would suit a detail-oriented professional who enjoys combining strategic financial oversight with hands-on procurement management. You’ll work closely with the leadership team to ensure the business remains financially robust, cost-effective, and compliant with all relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities Oversee all daily financial operations including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and cash flow. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support business objectives. Manage supplier contracts, negotiations, and relationships to ensure cost efficiency and quality. Implement and monitor procurement strategies aligned to company goals. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and legal requirements. Support audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies. Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements. Collaborate across departments to align financial and purchasing strategies. About You Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Finance and Procurement, ideally within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and procurement regulations (UK and international). Proficiency with MRP or financial management systems. Professional qualifications such as AAT or CIPS are preferred. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
