Are you an experienced machining professional with strong technical knowledge of multi-spindle lathes, looking to step into a leadership role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment?
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Production Supervisor to join a leading manufacturer of high end precision equipment.
Based in Mildenhall, this role will see you take ownership of all technical aspects within the Lathe Area, supporting a 24/7 environment consisting of multi-spindle lathes, cold heading equipment, and associated machinery.

Production Supervisor Responsibilities: -
Oversee all technical aspects of the Lathe Area, including machines and ancillary equipment
Diagnose and resolve machining and production issues alongside the team
Support and work closely with the other supervisors to drive output and performance
Provide technical training and support to operators within the department
Liaise with production control and other departments to meet business requirements
Support service engineers during maintenance and equipment servicing
Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
Assist production when required to maintain output levels
Ensure smooth operation across a 24/7 manufacturing environment
About You: -
Proven experience working with multi-spindle lathe machines and associated equipment
5-10 year's experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills
Experience working in a shift-based or 24/7 manufacturing environment
Confident supporting and developing team members
Highly organised with a proactive, "can-do" attitude
Flexible approach to working hours, including supporting different shifts when required
Desirable Experience: -
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality standards
Previous experience in a supervisory or senior technical role
Background in high-output precision engineering environments
