Head of Strategic Value Stream (Uninsured Driving Prevention) at Motor Insurers' Bureau (MIB).
About MIB: At MIB our people are passionate about making roads safer by getting uninsured and hit-and-run drivers off our roads. Working in partnership with the Police, Insurers and Government our collective aim is to make it a thing of the past but, until that’s accomplished, we’re here to compensate victims quickly, fairly and compassionately. Last year we helped more than 34,000 people struck by uninsured and hit-and-run drivers and paid over £400 million in compensation to support victims rebuild their lives.
Responsibilities
* Lead MIB’s future thinking and own outcome delivery in respect of the UDP Pillar within Accelerating to Zero.
* Help ensure, through delivery against agreed goals, that the MIB demonstrates progress in reducing uninsured drivers on UK roads.
* Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote continuous engagement in delivering strategic priorities to reduce uninsured driving.
* Establish and develop the UDP Value Stream to effectively deliver key strategic priorities.
* Advocate for the UDP Value Stream within the context of the overall MIB Strategy, Accelerating to Zero.
* Engage with external stakeholders to inform future initiatives within the Value Stream.
* Ensure stakeholders understand the purpose of the Value Stream and the vision for the Value Stream.
* Work with colleagues and customers to understand demand and requirements and own ongoing evolution, prioritisation and review of the Value Stream backlog.
* Own the successful delivery of initiatives in support of the Value Stream goals and MIB’s overall strategy.
* Ensure collaboration between Value Streams and across the organisation to align with the delivery of MIB’s strategy.
* Prepare robust proposals for quarterly enterprise-wide reviews, coordinating alignment, prioritisation and dependency management with clearly articulated benefits.
* Represent MIB at relevant industry forums and in the media.
* Promote sound risk management and identify, manage and report risks in line with MIB’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
* Operate in compliance with UK data protection laws and applicable regulatory standards.
* Keep abreast of developments in the insurance industry; evaluate innovations, trends and opportunities to connect strategy to execution.
* Coach and mentor colleagues and support the education of stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
* Track record of success in developing and delivering complex, multi-faceted work programmes and operations.
* Experience of working in a matrix management environment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage conflicting, fast-changing priorities.
* Excellent commercial awareness and experience working with third-party service providers and contracts.
* Governance, risk and regulatory awareness and management.
* Effective, engaging communicator able to articulate complex concepts to diverse stakeholder groups.
* Influencing and negotiating skills with success in building productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
