QA Auditor – Youth Justice Service

Locum, Full-time
Hybrid Working – Minimum 3 Days per Week in the Office
Sanctuary Personnel are recruiting for an experienced QA Auditor to join a dedicated Youth Justice Service in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled social work professional with a strong background in quality assurance, auditing, and children’s services to help drive continuous improvement across frontline practice.

The Role
As QA Auditor within the Youth Justice Service, you will play a vital role in reviewing and strengthening practice standards across children’s social care services. You’ll work closely with frontline practitioners and managers to identify strengths, areas for development, and opportunities to improve consistency and service delivery.
You’ll contribute to a culture of learning, reflection, and continuous improvement while helping services meet statutory responsibilities and organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out detailed audits of children’s social care and youth justice practice
* Review casework to ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and best practice standards
* Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to frontline teams and managers
* Support service improvement initiatives and quality assurance frameworks
* Promote reflective practice and continuous professional development
* Identify themes, trends, and areas requiring improvement through audit activity
* Produce clear and accurate audit reports and performance information
* Work collaboratively with managers to improve outcomes for children and young people
* Support the development of a positive learning culture across the service
Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration
* Significant frontline experience within Children’s Social Care and/or Youth Justice
* Previous experience undertaking quality assurance audits and case reviews
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, legislation, and statutory frameworks
* Experience supporting or supervising practitioners within social care services
* Excellent written communication, analytical, and report-writing skills
* Ability to influence, coach, and support professional development
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
