We are recruiting an Operations Planner to join our team based in Middlesbrough. You will provide high-standard operational support to ensure efficient service delivery, manage client relations, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
This role is part of the Operations Planning Team based in Middlesbrough, covering all UK towage operations. You will work on a rota system to ensure 24-hour coverage, including day and night shifts, with occasional overtime.
Your Main Tasks Will Be To
* Manage bookings and changes for towage operations, ensuring timely recording and communication.
* Maintain excellent relationships with clients and stakeholders.
* Accurately enter data into booking, scheduling, and invoicing systems.
* Organize scheduling and logistics of crew and Tugs to optimize asset use.
* Coordinate with the technical department for Tugs' maintenance schedules.
* Prepare operational plans and identify commercial opportunities.
* Liaise with crewing to maintain operational availability and compliance with working time legislation.
Skills and Experience
* Knowledge of logistic planning (preferred).
* Ability to process and record information accurately (required).
* Strong decision-making and prioritization skills (required).
* Confidence in dealing with clients and external agencies (desirable).
* Proficiency in IT systems (required).
