Brownfield Solutions is a well-established geo-environmental engineering consultancy specializing in environmental and geotechnical investigations. We seek a Senior Engineer (Geo-Environmental) to join our Northwich team, offering opportunities for professional growth and advancement to principal level and beyond.

You will collaborate with engineers, directors, technicians, and operations staff, providing technical guidance and mentoring junior team members.
You will design and deliver geo-environmental and geotechnical consultancy services for clients including property developers, agents, planners, engineers, public bodies, and private companies. Your projects will be diverse, involving ground investigations, contaminated land assessments, geotechnical design, remediation strategies, verification, Part 2A investigations, due diligence surveys, and more.

Responsibilities:
1. Familiarity with relevant standards, guidance, and legislation in geo-environmental industry.
2. Implement and maintain health and safety standards.
3. Experience in conducting ground investigations using various techniques.
4. Prepare project fee proposals and tenders.
5. Manage project finances and understand commercial aspects.
6. Attend meetings and site visits.
7. Prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
8. Develop and maintain client relationships.
9. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
10. Review work of junior staff, including reports, logs, and calculations.
11. Develop templates and tools to improve quality and efficiency.
12. Mentor junior staff and pass on knowledge.
13. Prepare interpretive and technical assessment reports.
14. Design remediation strategies and verify remediation work.
15. Manage earthworks, waste, and materials in compliance with CL:AIRE DoWCoP.
16. Perform soil mechanics calculations and foundation assessments.
17. Liaise with regulators and negotiate as needed.
Qualifications:
1. BSc (2:1 or above) in engineering, geology, environmental, or geotechnical field.
2. Postgraduate degree or MSc (desirable).
3. Chartered status (desirable).
4. At least 5 years relevant experience.
5. Full UK manual driving license.
