Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our team at Ivetsey Bank Hospital, a Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) facility located in Staffordshire. The role involves managing service provision for a defined caseload of young people, responding to assessment and review requests, and working in partnership with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
* Keep people safe from harm and protect their human rights.
* Act as care co‑ordinator in line with Active Care Group's standards.
* Develop and deliver evidence‑based packages of care, including specific psychosocial interventions where appropriate.
* Undertake carer assessment and care planning.
* Maintain health and social care records.
* Lead the provision of therapeutic group work as indicated by the needs of our young people.
* Provide case reports when required (e.g., for court, mental health review tribunals/manager’s hearings, case reviews, enquiries) and attend case discussions, conferences, and reviews as necessary, including those integral to child protection procedures.
* Provide patients, relatives and carers with information and support regarding entitlements to statutory benefits.
* Adhere to the policies and procedures of the organisation, with particular regard to confidentiality, financial and administrative responsibilities, and treat residents, colleagues and visitors with dignity and respect at all times.
Qualifications
* Social Work degree.
* Relevant registration.
* Previous experience within a CAMHS setting or working with children/young people.
* Successful applicants will undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Working Hours
Standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexibility can be discussed to accommodate personal or professional needs.
Hospital Services
Ivetsey Bank Hospital offers specialised, intensive inpatient care and support to children and young people with severe, enduring, and complex mental health conditions. The hospital has four separate units: Wedgwood (Eating Disorders Service), Hartley (Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit), Thorneycroft (General Adolescent Service), and Glazewood (Assessment and triage Unit). Each unit is supported by its own consultant‑led multidisciplinary team.
