Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Chief Cardiac Physiologist to help develop physiologist-led services, community-based echo services, advanced echo procedures, and education and training programs in echocardiography.
Qualifications and Skills
* Expertise in echocardiography
* Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
* Willingness to participate in teaching, training, and mentoring
* BSE Level 2 Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE) Accreditation in Adults
* Willingness to demonstrate leadership development
Role Responsibilities
* Independent practice in Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography
* Participation in specialised procedures such as TOE, Stress Echo, and Contrast/Bubble Studies
* Work closely with Cardiologists
* Engage in professional development and training in other areas of Cardiac Physiology
* Participate in on-call duties
Development Opportunities
* Advanced echo techniques, IBHRE/BHRS accreditation, leadership, and management training
* Involvement in research and departmental developments
About Dorset County Hospital
We perform coronary angiography and intervention, providing a Primary PCI service. Our cardiac catheter labs facilitate diagnostic and interventional procedures, device implantation, and atrial appendage occlusion.
