Horizon Teachers are happy to be working closely with a primary school in the London borough of Barnet assisting their search for a full time SEN teaching assistant in reception from September through to the end of the academic year. As an EYFS teaching assistant, you will be expected to do the following: Working 1:1 with the student, to give them the time and support they need in order to learn. Assisting the child in their educational and social development including creativity and play-based learning to encourage the development of their skills. Managing any challenging behaviour that may occur and using initiative to find a resolution Provide support inside and outside of the classroom, so they can fully engage in a wide range of activities. Help to set up activities for the day, using technology or adjusting the environment to suit the child's needs.
