Quality & Environmental Compliance Coordinator | Bolton | Permanent | up to £50,000
Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 5pm Friday 8am-12pm
KPI Recruiting is delighted to be representing a well‑established business in the Bolton area, seeking an experienced Quality & Environmental Compliance Coordinator to join their team on a full‑time, permanent basis.
Responsibilities
* Manage HS2 project quality deliverables plan/register, ensuring all items are identified, assigned, and submitted on time.
* Attend internal and client meetings, recording actions and driving closure of quality/documentation issues.
* Develop and maintain MITPs/ITPs aligned with HS2/client specifications and project requirements.
* Coordinate quality inputs from Engineering, Procurement, Production, Inspection/NDT, and suppliers, ensuring compliance and traceability.
* Prepare and collate material acceptance documentation (MTCs, CoCs, traceability records), ensuring full traceability.
* Compile inspection and test records (check sheets, reports, certificates), ensuring completeness and correct referencing.
* Produce or coordinate O&M manuals and handover documentation, including supplier manuals, spares lists and as‑built information.
* Compile and issue final handover packs (MDR/Data Book/QA dossier) with correct structure, indexing and revision control.
* Manage document control for project deliverables, including numbering, distribution, comment resolution and revision updates.
* Support closure of NCRs, defects and punch lists with updated documentation and evidence.
* Assist audits by preparing documentation and tracking actions to closure.
* Support environmental requirements by collecting/reporting data (e.g., steel embodied carbon/EPDs) and integrating deliverables.
* Identify and support project improvements, including reducing waste, improving first‑time quality and minimising environmental impacts.
Qualifications
* Proven experience managing project quality deliverables, documentation and submissions on complex engineering/manufacturing projects.
* Experience developing and maintaining MITPs/ITPs, including hold/witness points, acceptance criteria and required records.
* Experience producing or coordinating O&M manuals and handover documentation to client formats and submission requirements.
* Experience collating material acceptance documentation (MTCs, CoCs, traceability records) and compiling final handover packs (MDR/Data Book/QA dossier).
* Strong understanding of document control, revision management, transmittals and comment resolution.
* Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and contractual requirements into practical documentation.
* Confident communicator, able to contribute to client meetings and drive actions to closure.
* Competent with MS Office and document management systems.
* Awareness of environmental requirements, including collection and management of environmental evidence (e.g., embodied carbon/EPDs) and a focus on continuous improvement.
