Working within their Pre-construction & Design team, we are looking for a Design Manager to oversee and drive the design process across all stages of project delivery. From early concept through pre‑construction and handover, you will ensure that design outputs meet client expectations, align with programme requirements, and supportmercial and technical objectivesKey Responsibilities:
1. Lead the design journey from initial briefing through topletion, ensuring outputs are coordinated and achievable
2. Work closely with project teams to establish design programmes, monitor deliverables, and track progress against milestones
3. Facilitate collaboration between consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve integrated solutions
4. Manage design changes, approvals, and documentation to maintain clarity and control
5. Oversee specialist subcontractor design input, ensuring integration with the wider project
6. Support digital design processes, including BIM coordination and execution planning
7. Champion quality, sustainability, and innovation throughout the design lifecycle
You will be degree qualified, either in architecture, engineering, or a related discipline. You will also have:
8. Strong knowledge of design management practices, building regulations, and industry standards
9. Familiarity with BIM processes and relevant standards
10. Experience of delivering projects to high sustainability benchmarks (, BREEAM Excellent).
11. Proficiency in design and project software (Microsoft Office, Project, REVIT, Navisworks).
12. Excellent leadership andmunication skills, with the ability to collaborate and co-ordinate between internal and external stakeholders and teams
