About the Role
To undertake daily, weekly, and monthly activities to ensure the Packaging Department meets KPI requirements for cost, quality, service, and behaviors through established procedures.
Key Accountabilities
1. Comply with all statutory and legal requirements.
2. Adhere to safety, health, and environment standards.
3. Follow packaging and food hygiene safety regulations, such as HACCP.
4. Meet product and process quality standards.
5. Maintain housekeeping, cleaning, and 5S practices.
6. Perform basic asset care duties as part of operational responsibilities.
7. Operate packaging equipment to deliver finished goods of the right quality, time, and cost to logistics.
8. Participate in improvement activities to meet KPI targets, including Short Interval Control (SIC).
9. Undertake training to develop new skills and tasks within the Packaging Department, focusing on up-skilling less experienced team members.
10. Assist with any packaging-related tasks as directed by the First Line Manager.
11. Attend meetings and briefings as required.
12. Complete documentation and transactions to support departmental performance improvements.
13. Ensure internal customer requirements are met.
14. Understand and adhere to food safety requirements relevant to the role.
About You
1. English and Mathematics at Standard Grade or equivalent.
2. Packaging or engineering qualifications are advantageous.
3. Experience in packaging or engineering is beneficial.
4. All necessary operational training will be provided.
5. Forklift license where applicable (e.g., Empty Can Store/Keg Palletiser).
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
