Main purpose: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Transport and Despatch Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient coordination of transportation activities and despatch operations to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively. Main duties: Plan and coordinate transport, and resources to meet delivery requirements and deadlines with our courier partners and our own Drivers. Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and drivers to arrange pickups, deliveries, and shipments. Monitor transport activities and track shipment progress to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise collaborating with Customer Services. Coordinate with the production, warehouse and transport teams to prioritise shipments and ensure seamless logistics operations. Respond promptly to customer enquiries and address any concerns related to transportation services. Responsible for building keys. Quality meetings with internal departments. Collaborate with internal departments to streamline processes and improve goods in / goods out and transportation efficiency. Stay updated on transportation regulations, industry trends, and best practices to ensure compliance and enhance performance. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance transportation operations. Essential skills required Experience in a warehouse admin, despatch, logistics, goods in / goods out or a similar role. Proficiency in despatch and / or transport systems, courier booking and internal stock systems. MS Office applications or Google workspace / G Suite. Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve transportation efficiency. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and building positive relationships with customers and partners. Experience with MaxOptra planning software is desirable but can be taught. Strong numerical ability Forklift experience is preferable but training can be given.
