Digital Producer and Editor
Working Hours: Full time 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday (Flexibility required to work weekends, bank holidays, and additional hours)

Role Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Digital Producer & Editor who is passionate about creating exciting, engaging, and inspirational high-quality content for a Muslim audience, both in the UK and globally. You will be responsible for producing content from concept to completion, with extensive experience in digital projects across various platforms. The role requires juggling multiple deliverables under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards. A keen eye for visual storytelling and the ability to generate resonant ideas are essential. You will report to the Head of Digital during UK hours and fulfill the responsibilities outlined below.
Role Responsibilities
1. Create, produce, source, and deliver high-quality, creative original video content for islamchannel.tv and related social media platforms.
2. Ensure content aligns with the company's vision, resources, and timelines, and is relevant to the platform and audience.
3. Edit clips and third-party footage using Adobe Premiere & CC or Wochit (training provided), ensuring rapid turnaround for daily news.
4. Identify, verify, and source relevant video clips, including handling copyright permissions for UGC content.
5. Publish clips to CMS and video hosting platforms, using appropriate metadata.
6. Attend daily morning meetings and relevant production days to collaborate effectively with the digital team.
7. Generate and share ideas for explainers and original videos, considering analytics and data insights.
8. Work with various contributors, including conducting and filming interviews.
9. Monitor social media analytics and prepare regular reports for senior management.
10. Ensure all content receives approval from the Head of Digital or senior editorial team before publication.
11. Collaborate with your line manager to align with company objectives and contribute to digital strategy.
Skills
* Proficiency in additional languages is highly advantageous.
* Experience with filming using various cameras.
* Knowledge of project management software.
* Ability to ensure content consistency, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
* Experience with long-form news, features, and website content management.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong time management skills.
* Team player with a positive, solution-oriented approach.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is highly advantageous.
* NCTJ or equivalent qualification or relevant experience with a major online publication.
Experience
* At least 3 years of experience in video/media production and post-production, including filming and editing for online platforms.
* Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, especially Premiere and After Effects, demonstrated through a demo reel or work samples.
