Gafoor is a dynamic and rapidly growing family-owned business in Preston, operating nationally and supplying poultry products to leading blue chip manufacturers.
About The Role
We are recruiting one electrical and one mechanical engineer to work closely with the manufacturing team, maintaining and servicing processing machinery to minimize downtime and conduct preventative maintenance to prevent production disruptions.
You should have experience in a similar manufacturing environment, capable of fault finding, preventative maintenance, and handling machinery downtime efficiently.
The role involves rotating shifts, including day and night, with occasional weekend work for installations and major maintenance projects to avoid disrupting normal production.

Key Responsibilities
1. Complete repairs and breakdowns promptly; perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for corrective actions.
2. Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
3. Follow all Health & Safety regulations and escalate issues as needed.
4. Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing Managers.
5. Provide world-class engineering service as part of a team.
6. Communicate effectively and take initiative when necessary.
7. Contribute to continuous process and practice improvements.
8. Support and mentor Electrical Apprentices in future.
About You
Essential Requirements:
1. Fluent in English (verbal and written).
2. Excellent IT skills.
3. Relevant degree with practical experience.
4. Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
5. Strong fault-finding skills.
6. Knowledge of UK Health & Safety standards.
7. Ability to prioritize and record information clearly.
8. Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
