About the job
The Rare Disease Field Specialists (RDFS) are responsible for engaging key customers within an assigned geography. They will be focused on Disease Education/Medical Education to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and presenting clinically focused selling messages to HCPs about our Sanofi products.
The RDFS will demonstrate initiative, drive, and independence and take ownership of meeting and exceeding individual business goals. This will be accomplished by driving performance and delivering results in a compliant manner with a high degree of integrity, strictly following all Sanofi UKIE policies and in compliance with all policies and procedures governing the promotion of pharmaceutical/biological products in the UKIE.
KEY RESULTS/ ACCOUNTABILITIES
3. Engage customers within assigned geographical territory and deliver clinically focused messages to introduce, launch, grow brand-share and revenue and to consistently deliver on product goals (~50% of the time)
4. Deliver Disease Education/Medical Education about various Rare Diseases to Healthcare Professionals in the UKIE (~50% of the time)
5. Collaborate and coordinate with other key field-based stakeholders such as Diagnostic Pathway Specialists counterparts, Medical Science Liaisons, Market Access teammates, Professional Relations Lead, and others in their territory to proactively address customer needs, identify market dynamics and trends, develop strategies which support brand and corporate objectives, and ensure optimal account success within their assigned geography
6. Develop strong working relationships with HCPs in assigned geography as well as infusion coordinators, office staff, and other important health care personnel
7. Drive results by identifying key opportunities and developing strategic business plans to generate product utilization and grow territory business
8. Plan, organize, and execute local promotional speaker programs and activities
9. Maximize the budget allocated to the geographic territory to support the execution of strategies and tactics and generate/grow the business
10. Participate and help lead initiatives to support sales success as assigned (e.g., participate in industry-related congresses, local and regional meetings, and medical conferences)
11. Establish relationships with thought leaders in assigned territory
12. Primary objective is to drive industry-leading customer value
About you
13. Experience : Proven success and positive track record of consistent sales performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments operating with a high degree of integrity within compliance guidelines
14. Soft skills : Ability to operate as a “team player” in cooperation with collaboration partners and internal colleagues to reach common goals
15. Technical skills : Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product-related information
16. Must have valid ability to drive in the UKIE to travel to meetings, trainings as necessary
