Electrical Design Engineer

Role Summary
They require an Electrical Design Engineer for their specialist and growing engineering company to assist with the production of new designs and modify and update existing designs by producing accurate technical drawings. This is an amazing opportunity to join a company with a global reputation who provide services to the industry. The successful candidate will undertake design work on contracts based on analysis of specifications, producing accurate drawings and liaising with production, purchasing and sales where necessary.
Key Responsibilities
* Using 3D AutoCAD
* Electrical and pneumatic design
* Leading a small team of electricians
* PLC Programming – Training provided
Key Requirements
* Experience within mechanical or electrical design or a junior engineer / graduate (or equivalent)
* Experience with AutoCAD
Skills and Experience
Knowledge in a wide range of areas including 3D design, electronics and PLC programming. The role will suit candidates from a design background, with a degree in mechanical, electrical, or electronic engineering (or equivalent). You will need experience using 3D AutoCAD or Solidworks and any additional knowledge of electronics or PLCs would be advantageous, however PLC programming training can be provided.
Additional Duties
The successful candidate will be predominantly involved in the electrical design of vehicles however the role will also involve mechanical design the candidate will be responsible for using AutoCAD to produce technical drawings and schematics, for both new designs and new processes. You will be involved in testing the equipment and QA.
