Overview
The Football Association is recruiting for a Workday Training and Communications Specialist to join our Workday Change Management workstream. This role focuses on HR and is offered on a fixed-term contract until March 2027, based at Wembley Stadium for two days per week. We have completed the first phase of our Workday implementation (Core HCM, Absence, Compensation, Expenses and Payroll) and are focusing on adoption, refinement of configuration, and planning for future HR phases (Workday Recruiting, Learning and Help).
You will design, develop and deliver The Football Association's Workday Training and Learning Strategy, approach and plan. You will support all impacted stakeholder groups through the transition to Workday and work closely with the Change Management Lead on the implementation of the new system. This includes training needs analysis, functional user training, end user support materials and a range of learning resources. You will also contribute to the creation of communication and engagement materials that support colleagues throughout their training and learning journey.
Responsibilities
* Training Delivery
o Develop and deliver role-based training materials including face-to-face and virtual instructor-led sessions, e-learning content, job aids and similar collateral.
o Coordinate training schedules and logistics for all impacted teams.
o Support adoption and post-go-live learning through refresher sessions and knowledge resources.
* Communications and Engagement
o Help create clear and engaging communications aligned with project and change milestones.
o Support the development of FAQs, intranet content, manager toolkits and other documentation.
o Help manage feedback channels and engagement activity to address concerns and build buy-in.
* Collaboration
o Work closely with the Change Management Lead and wider programme team, HR, Payroll and IT teams to ensure consistent messaging and training.
o Partner with subject matter experts to ensure alignment of strategy, plans and accuracy of all content.
* Measurement
o Track training attendance, completion rates and learner feedback.
o Monitor the effectiveness of communications and recommend improvements.
Skills and experience
* Previous experience delivering Workday training in a fast-paced project environment is essential.
* Experience in training design and face-to-face and virtual delivery for Workday implementations within HR.
* Confident presenting at all levels, both in person and via Microsoft Teams.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work discreetly and maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Experience managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Technical Skills
* Understanding of Workday HCM and the modules we're implementing is essential, with understanding of FINS as an advantage.
* Proficiency in digital tools for training and communication including Microsoft Office, learning management systems and Synthesia or similar tools.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create clear and engaging training content and written materials.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
Knowledge
* Understanding of training and learning methodologies.
* Good understanding of Workday HR processes and associated data.
