A reputable engineering consultancy in Leeds is seeking to appoint a skilled Civil Engineering Technician to join their busy and expanding office team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work on a diverse range of projects across sectors including retail, logistics, rail, residential, commercial, and renewables.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting a team of engineers and technicians in producing engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
* Developing and managing Civil 3D models for various schemes
* Preparing and checking straightforward engineering calculations
* Carrying out initial quality checks on their own work
* Contributing to design problem-solving and delivering practical solutions
* Meeting project deadlines and maintaining high standards of output
* Liaising professionally with statutory bodies such as Water Companies, the Environment Agency, and County Roads Departments
* Ensuring consistency and quality in technical deliverables including drawings and reports
* Collaborating with colleagues, clients, contractors, and other designers, offering advice and guidance as required
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience working as a technician within civil engineering
* High proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD is essential
