As an MFL Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that build students’ confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in a modern foreign language. Main Responsibilities of a Modern Foreign Language (MFL) Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality MFL lessons in accordance with the national curriculum. Teach one or more modern foreign languages across key stages 3, 4, and 5. Promote the development of students’ communication skills and cultural understanding. Collaborate effectively with colleagues to contribute to departmental objectives and whole-school initiatives. Maintain a positive, structured, and well-managed classroom environment. Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing clear and constructive feedback. Foster active participation and build students’ confidence in language learning. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in one or more modern foreign languages (Spanish, German, French etc.). Experience teaching MFL in UK schools is desirable. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities. A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
