Salford Cares' Supported Living are recruiting a Team Leader to provide leadership to a team of Autism Practitioners and Practice Leads and facilitate the delivery of high quality, compassionate care. We are looking for a team Leader for our new learning disability / autism specialist supported living service at Highfield Road in the Little Hulton area of Salford. Highfield Road supports 8 individuals using a positive behaviour support (PBS) and reflective practice approach.

About the Team Leader role:
As the Team Leader you will be supporting people in their own homes; the people we work with have a range of needs including learning disability, autism, and mental health needs. Some of the people who use our services also have significant physical health and personal care needs and may present with behaviours that challenge services.
The service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and full time you will work 37.5 hours each week (pro rata for part time positions), on a rota which includes weekends and sleep-in cover.
Responsibilities:
· Staff support and supervision
· Supervision of 3 Practice Leads
· Involvement in and monitoring of the reflective practice framework across the service.
· Attendance at the monthly reflective practice forum
· Preparation of a monthly report which you will present at the reflective practice forum.
· Rota management
· Working with people with varied needs
· Helping people live more independently and undertake life enhancing activities.
· Ensure people's needs are at the heart of everything you do.
· Working with care managers and health colleagues to implement and support therapy plans.
· Personal Care as required.
· Connecting with the community
· Partnership working
Experience and skills required:
· Must have previous experience supporting adults with learning disabilities & autism.
· Experience of positive behaviour support (PBS) and the benefits of this when supporting individuals who present with behaviours that challenge services.
· Be able to develop supportive relationships, promoting independence and wellbeing.
· You must be able to participate in an on-call rota.
· You will be highly motivated to deliver outstanding care and support.
· Driving License- Essential
