About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will help residents with dignity and independence, delivering personalised care plans and maintaining high standards of care as part of a team.
You will plan and implement care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families, helping to ensure personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain the highest standards of care, and influence the rest of the team. Responsibilities include supporting residents with daily tasks, such as moving safely, meals, and communication with families, always with kindness.
You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and may administer medications where required. A key responsibility is maintaining accurate records and building strong relationships with the team.
Requirements include ideally having completed a Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Care and working towards Level 3 or equivalent, background in person-centred care planning, and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. The essential qualities are a positive energy, ability to relate well to people, good record-keeping, time management, and a consistently considerate and kind approach in all communications.
