Housekeeper
This is a part-time, term time only position, working 9.00am to 1.00pm, Monday to Friday. Additional hours during school holidays and at weekends may be available by mutual agreement to support events and wider school operations. Salary £6,251-10,143 per annum (FTE £12,502-£20,286) dependent on age and experience. Start date ASAP.
About the role:
We are looking to appoint reliable and motivated Housekeepers to join our friendly team. Working Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 1.00pm (20 hours per week), you'll help ensure that the school is cleaned and maintained to a high standard. Additional hours may be available during school holidays and at weekends to support events and wider school operations.
What You Will Do
* Carry out routine and ad-hoc cleaning duties across the school site.
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in your allocated areas.
* Use cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively.
* Monitor stock levels and report any low supplies.
* Help ensure all school areas are clean, safe, and ready for use.
* Report any issues relating to safety, cleanliness, or maintenance.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking someone who is dependable, takes pride in their work, and enjoys being part of a team. You'll need to be self-motivated and happy to work independently when required.
Essential:
* A positive attitude and commitment to high standards.
* Ability to follow health and safety guidelines, including COSHH.
* Willingness to wear appropriate uniform and footwear.
* Flexibility to support occasional weekend or holiday work.
Desirable:
* Experience of cleaning in a school or similar setting.
* Knowledge of cleaning equipment and materials.
* An enhanced DBS check (this can be arranged if not currently held).
