Temporary role covering the Christmas period, ending towards the end of January About the Role We are recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 shunter driver for Christmas period work to join a busy parcel delivery operation. You will be responsible for safely moving trailers within the depot and supporting the smooth running of yard operations. This seasonal role is ideal for HGV Class 1 drivers, depot drivers, or shunters with experience in parcel delivery, logistics, or haulage. What You Will Do • Move trailers safely around the depot as an HGV Class 1 shunter driver • Carry out yard shunting in a structured and time-managed environment • Complete basic vehicle checks before and after each shift • Follow depot procedures and work closely with warehouse and transport teams • Support a fast-paced parcel delivery operation during the busy Christmas period What We Are Looking For • Valid HGV Class 1 licence • Confident working nights and comfortable in a depot-based role • Able to pass an initial assessment as part of the recruitment process Who Might Suit This Role This position is suitable for experienced HGV Class 1 drivers, yard shunters, depot drivers, or trunk drivers from parcel delivery, logistics, or distribution backgrounds.
