Overview
Animal Antiks, a compassionate farm based in the scenic surroundings of Buckinghamshire, is seeking dedicated Activity-led Support Assistants to join our team on a casual basis.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about working with both animals and young people with complex needs. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people and help create memorable experiences in a rural setting.
Job Salary: £11.44 per hour

About the role
Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with children and young people with special educational needs (SEN), providing support and guidance during their time at Animal Antiks.
2. Organise and facilitate group and 1-1 sessions in multiple disciplines, delivering sessions suited to the groups’ needs and with a high degree of flexibility.
3. Organise and facilitate outdoor craft activities, encouraging creativity and exploration.
4. Assist with basic care and livestock support, ensuring the well-being of our animals and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
5. Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all those in our care, promoting a sense of belonging and engagement.
6. Collaborate with the Animal Antiks team to develop and implement tailored activity plans for groups and individuals with differing complex needs.
7. Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy while interacting with children, their families, and other team members.

Requirements:
• A natural aptitude in dealing with a highly flexible environment.

• Relevant experience supporting children or adults with special needs is desirable.
• An understanding and appreciation of the importance of helping people overcome barriers caused by disability in society and the workplace.
