The team member will work across a number of Primary/Secondary schools in the Clydesdale area supporting identified pupils with significant additional support needs such as autism, dyslexia, dyscalculia, social and emotional behavioural needs, mental health challenges and emotional based school avoidance to help them to engage with their learning and remain within the mainstream context.
They will work on an individual basis, in groups and within classes supporting pupils with literacy, numeracy and HWB targets across the curriculum. This role is peripatetic so there is a requirement to be able to travel between establishments on a daily basis.
The successful candidate must have a breadth of teaching experience and knowledge of primary and/or secondary education. They will be enthusiastic, approachable, attachment-based practice informed and flexible and creative in their approach to engaging leaners.

Other remits: The teacher will be part of the Extended Area Team comprising of Early Years Specialist Support teachers, Primary and Secondary Specialist Support Teachers and EAL teachers. This team is line managed by the Senior Manager Pupil Support. There will be a requirement to deliver support and training to staff (and, at times, parents) to build capacity across our learning communities in supporting children and young people with additional support needs.

Teacher Salary
In line with the Teachers’ Conditions of Service, your salary for the remainder of this school salary year, which runs in conjunction with the academic session, may be recalculated to reflect how teachers accrue pay.
