School Payroll Officer
Location: RayleighImmediate Start | Part-Time | Temporary via Reed (Potential Permanent Opportunity)
A school based in Rayleigh is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to start immediately on a temporary basis via Reed, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.
This role offers flexibility around working hours and days and would suit an experienced payroll professional, ideally with school or education sector experience.
Key Details
* Working pattern:Minimum 15 hours per week, with flexibility to work additional hours if required.Working days are flexible and can be agreed to suit the needs of the school and the successful candidate.
* Payroll system:The school uses SAGE, therefore experience with SAGE payroll software is essential.

Key Responsibilities
* Processing payroll accurately and on time using SAGE
* Managing starters, leavers, and changes to contracts
* Ensuring payroll compliance with HMRC and pension regulations
* Handling payroll queries from staff
* Supporting reporting and reconciliations as required

* Proven payroll experience, ideally within a school or education setting
* Strong working knowledge of SAGE payroll
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Reliable, adaptable, and available to start immediately
