Are you a finance professional with specific experience using COINS or ENCORA? We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a leading construction and maintenance contractor.
This is a vital role within a busy finance team, responsible for the high-volume processing of supplier and subcontractor invoices. You will ensure the ledger is accurate, compliant with industry regulations, and that all payments are executed efficiently.
THE OFFER
1. Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour (PAYE)
2. Sector: Construction / Social Housing Maintenance
3. Software: COINS or ENCORA (Mandatory)
4. Work Pattern: Office-based with WFH Potential (subject to performance and business needs).
5. Contract: Ongoing Temporary / Temp-to-Perm.
THE ROLE
You will manage the end-to-end purchase ledger process, ensuring all financial data is processed in line with construction industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
6. Invoice Processing: Processing high volumes of supplier and subcontractor invoices using COINS / ENCORA.
7. CIS Compliance: Ensuring all subcontractor invoices are correctly verified and that the correct CIS deductions are applied.
8. Three-Way Matching: Matching invoices to purchase orders (POs) and delivery notes (GRNs).
9. Statement Reconciliations: Reconciling supplier statements to ensure the ledger is accurate and up to date.
10. Query Management: Liaising with suppliers and internal project managers to resolve pricing or quantity discrepancies.
11. BACS Payments: Assisting with the preparation of weekly and monthly payment runs.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
12. Software Expertise: You must have prior experience using COINS or ENCORA accounting software.
13. Industry Knowledge: Previous experience working within a construction, maintenance, or social housing environment is highly desirable.
14. Financial Accuracy: A strong understanding of CIS, VAT, and high-volume data entry.
