About us:

The Hoste Arms nestles in the picturesque village of Burnham Market
Offering the most comfortable & hospitable of gateways to the spectacular North Norfolk coastline & countryside. A pub, restaurant, hotel & spa steeped in history & brimming with passion for its surroundings.

The Hoste Arms is looking for a superstar Sous Chef to help run our beautiful, recently invested pub with rooms. This job is one for a real lover of food, someone with aspiration of growing with the pub and eventually taking on a head chef role of their own. We serve from breakfast through to late supper, beautiful and abundant bar snacks, afternoon teas, weddings, corporate events - all done with care and thought, putting our guest experience at the heart of all that we do.

What we look for in a Sous Chef:

We are looking for an existing Sous Chef or Senior CDP looking for their next step, who considers themselves as a natural leader with a passion and flare for producing quality fresh food in an environment that makes people feel welcome. As the successful Sous Chef you will:

10. Have experience championing excellent service through quality food
11. Demonstrate a passion for leading and developing a team
12. Be an active hands-on Chef with excellent communication skills
13. Be responsible and able to manage the kitchen staff rota, training and all health and safety effectively at all times
14. Working alongside your Head Chef, you will be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to design and deliver new dishes for our menus and daily specials
15. Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills, necessary to maintain effective controls with regard to both GP and labour
16. Have a pro-active approach to driving sales and delivering growth, through engagement with both kitchen and front of house teams
